Hi, my name is Angela Myers. I have a Master’s Degree in Special Education from Meredith College in Raleigh, NC. I spent 7 years teaching before staying home with my two babies. As a special education teacher, I quickly realized the importance of explicit instruction and student exposure to new concepts. I like to control what I expose my students to to help build confidence, which in my experience is the key to success in early reading. I would spend hours each night going to several different websites finding the perfect worksheet or activities for each of my students. I was careful not to include material that they had not yet learned as to help them be successful and build their confidence.  While worksheets are a small part of education, sometimes students need independent practice or to review previously taught concepts. There was not somewhere that I could customize worksheets based on my student’s individual needs. I created Literacy Worksheets to help teachers and parents create worksheets that are customizable and free to help their children learn! I hope you find these worksheets useful and I welcome all feedback to help me improve the website in the future!
